I’m drawing comics?! This is blasphemy!

Okay, not really. It is definitely a bit surprising though I’m drawing comics and I’m not hating it. Although, I might start hating it when I go to colour it. I began to work on a comic to test out about how long it would take me to do a comic, as well as how much to charge someone for a comic they want me to do. I had written the scripts for three out of six I wanted to do and decided to work on two of them (meaning I worked on the easiest ones).

The first one is entitled “Pokémon Training” and takes place in between the ending of Kelly’s Journey and before New Horizons. Neo Ketchum is 7 years old and Clever Ketchum is 5. Not quite sure how old Kelly and Ash are, except they’re definitely in their 20s (most likely late). The gist of the story is that Ash wants to spend some father-son time, so he offers to teach Neo how to catch Pokémon, only to get outright rejected. Ash is disappointed until Clever slids in and tells him that she wants to learn, so they have a father-daughter moment while Kelly’s like “wanna know how I learned to catch Pokémon” to Neo, who accepts the offer.

The idea has been in my head for a while. I’m glad I’m drawing it! So far one page is sketched and all but…I think two panels on the second page? I’m hoping to have them all done by next week and start on the other comic.

The comic I’m doing after I finish this short one is called “Gimme Yo’ Jacket” with Melissa, Gallade, and Paul. Basically, the entire story is about Melissa forcing Paul’s jacket off of him so she could stop being cold. According to my storyboard, it’ll be 10 pages long. It’s basically a one sided Martinishipping comic.

It’s mainly me showcasing Melissa’s personality and her interactions with Paul. I’ll post up the comics for download when I finish them.

It’s actually pretty nice I can post images and not just text in this post. Sometimes it’s just plain boring to read text, isn’t it? At least there’s some images to break it up!

On the story front, I barely wrote anymore of Love Me Softly ~Chris’s Version~. I’m gonna have to crunch next month for sure – I want to see my book printed in a print form, even if it is just the unedited manuscript. I’ll draw a prettiful image for it and everything! If you hit the 50,000 word mark for NaNoWriMo, you can get it printed for free by CreateSpace, so I’m pretty excited. I’m hoping Amazon.com doesn’t reject it though for printing because it’s basically homoerotica. =[ I am past what I consider to be the climax, so I should hopefully be able to get it done quicker now. I just need to push myself to write it.

I did come up with an idea for my old anime/manga idea, Time Monsters. I’m looking forward to redrawing Casey in my current style. And man, it’s weird to call her “Casey”. She prefers to go by “Kasumi”. Obviously I would be making it into a novel instead. I’m pretty excited about the newer idea! I need to develop it more, but it’s good enough to actually get a start on it. Of course, I’m not going to do that until a few of my other novels are finished.

I also got some ideas for short stories, including one that expands on Atrum. So I’m excited about that.

That’s really all that has been going on in the writing department.

I guess there’s also that part where I’ve been resisting writing Kelly’s Journey. I actually REALLY feel like writing it as oppose to anything else, but I do believe that writing my original stories should be more important. But I’m just really excited about KJ, since I’m almost past the radioplay script count and KJ is going smoothly compared to the previous versions. I’m gonna keep on resisting though.
