I don’t know how many of you know this, but my boyfriend makes me music. I can’t make music myself right now (although I try to stay optimistic that one day, I shall), so I’m thankful that he can.
Of course, that’s until the laptop he had been using completely crashed, shortly after my mom gave him the one she wasn’t using anymore.
It’s like his laptop was like “welp, you got someone new; good-bye”.
Anyway, he uses FL Studio 9 to make his music. I keep insisting that he use FL Studio 11 (the version I have), but he refuses simply because he doesn’t like that pattern blocks don’t exist anymore. If he can’t do pattern blocks, no music for anyone.
Which makes me sad.
He’s been trying to install FL Studio 9 over and over and over again, but failed. I tried and somehow, I managed to figure out how to install it.
The majour problem seemed to be that either it wouldn’t install all the way OR the file installer would just never show up, but show up in the processes.
Here’s what I did:
1.) I changed the compatibility of the installer to Windows XP (Service Pack 3), since the computer is running on Windows 7.
2.) I rebooted the computer in clean mode, which didn’t really do anything but make the computer run faster.
3.) I forced shut down the computer so I could start it up in Safe Mode.
4.) Loaded the computer in Safe Mode.
5.) Installed FL Studio 9 in Safe Mode.
6.) Restarted the computer.
7.) Put in the registration key.
8.) Restarted the computer.
9.) Changed the compatibility of the PROGRAM to Windows XP (Service Pack 3).
10.) Opened FL Studio~~~~
I feel accomplished. ;D
