Good-bye 2011, Hello 2012!

Almost wrote “hello 2010” there. Whoops. It’s not like I have a TARDIS or a Delorean to go back to 2010 (not that I would want to anyway). I haven’t posted since the end of September and I think it’s more than appropriate to write a brief post about 2011 and my hopes & goals for 2012.

2011 was, for the most part, a fantastic year for me. I’m glad it was. The end of 2008 to 2010 sucked, up until the point I came back from Japan. It appeared to be a good turning point in my life, such as getting my first job and managing to hit the 50,000 word mark in NaNoWriMo. Luckily for me, my good streak continued into 2011 for my most productive year yet – I got another job (which I ended up quitting towards the middle of the year), I began getting art commissions, I finished the first draft of the novel I started for NaNoWriMo, improved on my artwork, made some new friends, regained a few old ones, and deepened the friendships with ones I’ve already had.

I’m hoping this year, 2012, will be even better. Superior to 2011.

My Goals/Plans for 2012:
– Finish my two Japanese textbooks
– Improve on my writing
– Get what I need sewn, sewn

Those are my primary goals, especially the first two. I’m not going into details on how I’m going to go about achieving them, but I do have some rather. There’s some more optional goals for myself as well, including losing weight and improving my artwork (which I’ll probably end up doing anyway), but those other ones are my primary goals. Oh, finishing my website too.

I failed to get my Japanese done last year and really wanna try this year. Since writing comes to me considerably easier than art does, I feel like I can actually manage it. As long as those several tens of comics I want to do don’t get in the way.

2012, I’m looking forward to you!

Happy New Years, everyone!
